Camp Fontanelle was founded in 1959 as a Church Camp for the Nebraska Methodist Conference. In 2014, the camp became a part of the
Great Plains United Methodist Annual Conference which includes the states of Nebraska and Kansas.
While the primary mission is its summer camping program, Camp Fontanelle overs many opportunities for the public to create fun and wholesome atmosphere for families and friends. These activities include our Easter Family Fun Day, held on Palm Sunday, The Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze at Camp Fontanelle, always the 3rd Sunday of September through the 1st Sunday in November. It is open Fridays 4:00-7:30 and Saturdays & Sundays 1:00-7:00, Christmas Camp, for kids who may find the holiday season not very joyful and movie nights throughout the year. A Halloween wilderness Run/Walk is also offered, for a fun activity.
Whether during its summer camping season or during the other activities, the mission of Camp Fontanelle is ''Impacting Lives through an Intentional Christian Community.
Camp Fontanelle believes in community partnerships by helping the Marines by sponsoring a Toys for Tots Campaign during one of the Search for Treats in the Maze. You can also see Camp Fontanelle facilitating rope and harness tree climbing at Elmwood Park, Omaha on Earth Day.
We are located in Washington County, 2 miles south of the community of Fontanelle off of Highway 91 West of Blair and north east of Fremont. We east of the Elkhorn River.
