Leadership Washington County
The Leadership Washington County Program, presented by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, is a series of seminars, tours and networking opportunities designed to enhance community awareness and develop emerging leaders in Washington County.
Participants include executives, professionals, government officials, community organizers and directors of nonprofit organizations, among others. Participants are typically sponsored and financially supported by their employers.
What are the objectives?
- Develop leadership skills to empower participants to be good community stewards, board members and volunteers.
- Improve participants effectiveness as leaders of the community.
- Increase awareness in the community of the potential for development and growth within social, civic and professional groups.
- Provide an overview of the leadership of Washington County.
- Inform participants of city and county government.
- Learn about and understand community resources.
- Assess sources of economic development and growth.
- Examine the future potential for Washington County.
Primary Learning Experiences:
- Companies and organizations do not accomplish great things, people do. Be developing your leadership skills, participants will gain the tools necessary to be good leaders and better people while working through an ever changing environment.
