    Job Description


    Within clearly defined framework, responsible for basic to intermediate level duties in assigned operational functions. Performs daily operations which supports functions of bank systems, including statement preparation, processes requests from Bank personnel and customers and ensures requests are completed in a timely fashion; performs a variety of routine daily tasks. Creates, verifies, issues and receives wires and fund transfers for processing; performs daily callback and account reconciliation activities. Provides leadership, training and support to all areas of the Bank. Job functions will be performed on a rotation schedule.

    1) Consistently provides superior customer service.
    2) Processes all incoming/outgoing wire transfers/participations. Completes necessary forms and appropriate entries. Utilizing appropriate software application; transmits all outgoing wire requests. Settles wires daily at specific time with Accounting/Audit Division. Maintains wire log. Emails/faxes participations to appropriate bank(s).
    3) Monitors “09 Accounts” (inactive accounts); excess activity accounts; minor accounts. Sends communication letter(s). Conducts annual review of all inactive accounts.
    4) Provides research and document support for all customers (internal and external).
    5) Provides Billpay troubleshooting assistance to Personal Banker team. Monitors Billpay activity and reports any unusual activity to immediate supervisor.
    6) Reconciles ATM daily. Reports any offages to the Account Processing Supervisor same day.
    7) Processes all lockbox payments daily. Provides necessary documentation to lockbox customers within contracted timelines and provides all research and/or answers to customer questions/issues.
    8) Processes returned deposited items daily. Determines if returned item is to be re-deposited or charged back. Sends communication of returned items to specified distribution list. Mails notices to customers.
    9) Processes exception items daily. Sends internal email communication for a potential change in disposition. Enters decisions utilizing appropriate software application. Balances final report.
    10) Responsible for statement preparation. Monitors statement file daily for printing. Prints images for duplicate statements. Prepares statements for mailing.
    11) Processes BIC/TRIPS/OTP items. Determines disposition of items on OTP report, prepares paperwork, and responds to processor with decisions. Reviews BIC corrections and makes appropriate entries. Reviews stop pay report and processes paperwork for any matches.
    12) Reconciles all negotiable instruments daily. Ensures tracking log is in balance with general ledger.

    13) Sends reconcilement to Accounting/Audit Division monthly.
    14) Prepares/distributes reports/notices for internal distribution.
    15) Communicates record storage needs to third party vendor.
    16) Processes levies/garnishments. Answers all internal/external questions.
    17) Back-up responsibility for all incoming/outgoing bank wide mail. Includes: daily pick-up at PO Box, sorting by department, distributing, daily pick-up from department receptacles, assigning proper postage, daily delivering to Post Office. Maintains postage machine/supplies, adding postage when necessary and provides dial-up maintenance when required.
    18) Provides full back-up support for the PT Account Processing Specialist, Scanning Specialist and limited back-up support for some Account Processing Supervisor functions (see PT Account Processing Specialist and Account Processing Supervisor job descriptions).
    19) Exhibits professional behavior and promotes positive working relationships. Practices WCB values and supports the goals and strategic plans of the Bank. Conducts personal finances in a manner consistent with the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct. Accountable for continuous best effects to complete the job assigned.
    20) All other duties as assigned.

    • Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations or customer service background.
    • Experience, knowledge and/or training in bank terminology and products and services relating to retail and commercial account customers.
    • Skills in personal computer operation; spreadsheet software programs.
    • Typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
    • Knowledge of general office practices.
    • Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.
    • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
