Fall is Fun at Camp Fontanelle! And the fall begins with the Annual BBQ and Quilt Auction on Sunday, September 19. Always the third Sunday in September, the day begins with worship under the Big White Tent. This year, the Rev. Cathy Cole will provide the message for the service. Music will be led by Kyler Jones, a summer camp counselor.
After worship, there are a couple of choices of where to dine. Have a pulled pork sandwich or homemade Pigs-in-a-Blanket with a choice of Potato Salad or potato chips, corn, peaches and a cookie bar. This meal, served in the River View Lodge is $9.00 per person.
Prefer a hot dog or hamburger (cheese)? The Grilling Station will have choice of hot dog or hamburger (cheese), Pringles Chips and a cookie bar and drink. The price for this meal is $5.00 per person.
At 2:00 p.m., the live quilt auction will begin. Fifty-one quilts, in various sizes and styles will be up for auction. This being a fundraiser for camp, enthusiastic bidders are needed to ensure that Camp Fontanelle can raise much needed money to grow facilities and programming.
It is also opening day for the corn maze, which will open at 1:00pm and run until 6:00 p.m.
